And we are off to our Quest 2018 Summer Road Trip

The plans are finalized, the camping gear packed, the reservations confirmed, the audio books and podcasts downloaded and the good-byes given to our boys (no big parties please) and we are off for our Quest Summer 2018 Road Trip.

After months of deliberations (mostly in my head), we’ve landed on visiting three national parks: Georgian Bay National Park, Bruce Peninsula National Park and Pukaskwa National Park.

Basically, our itinerary looks like this:

  • Georgian Bay National Park: two days

  • Bruce Peninsula National Park and Fathom Five Marine Conservation area: two days

  • Manitoulin Island: two days

  • Lake Superior Provincial Park: one day

  • Pukaskwa National Park and the Lake Superior National Marine Conservation Area: three day

And then, we are taking another four days to circumvent Lake Superior before returning to Ottawa.

We are off to a good start as our oTENTik (tent provided by the

park) is secluded and right on the water. We even have our own access to the water.

My first impressions of the park: well organized, nice campground, busy with boats. I have several hikes planned for our stay in this park…. More on this later.
