Since I started my Quest, gift purchasing has become much easier. For example, at Christmas, I gave and received several Quest related gifts: t-shirts, sweaters, hiking boots (for me). The Parks Canada online store has great stuff! For my sister Natalie’s birthday, I gave her a copy of the Guide to the National Parks of Canada (with the hope that she’ll join me on a trip).
I recently held a dinner party and a friend gave me as a hostess gift the book, A Century of Parks Canada 1911-2011! That gift has proven particularly helpful.
And for mother’s day, Michel gave me new pair of binoculars! He gave it to me one week in advance so I could use in my recent trip to Point Pelee. It was exactly what I needed to take a closer look at the birds of Point Pelee, like this red-winged blackbird.

By the way, all the great photographs from Rouge National Park and Point Pelee were taken by my brother Jean. .
